Work, school, family, friends, health, fitness – we have so many obligations that we need to focus on during our everyday lives. All take a certain level of commitment and, oftentimes, we set goals to help us attain a certain level of accomplishment in each of the above-mentioned areas. At Kennedy Club Fitness, our dedicated staff may not be able to help with all of your work and family goals, but one thing we take pride in offering is the ability to guide our club members as they embark upon and maintain their fitness and overall health goals. 

Over time, we have learned a thing or two about setting daily, weekly, monthly, and lifetime goals. Some of the most important ideas to keep in mind include:

  • Remember to set realistic goals
  • Start with small goals & continually add to your list 
  • Realize your personal lifestyle
  • Don’t compare yourself to others
  • Don’t set yourself up for failure by expecting to exercise every day
  • If you miss a day or fall short of a goal occasionally, don’t quit altogether

Just as important as setting goals is the importance of developing a plan for being successful so that you may accomplish those goals. At each Kennedy Club Fitness location, we offer complimentary orientation sessions – be sure to take advantage of all the knowledge our fitness counselors have to offer.

It’s no different with starting a new fitness routine or setting out to fulfill your goal of losing or gaining weight, adding muscle mass or learning how to fit exercise time into your schedule. We want you to succeed – whether your goal is to work out on our Nautilus equipment 3 times each week, learn some new Zumba moves or swim daily laps in our Olympic-size heated pools – we are here to help. We provide that extra ingredient for success – accountability – so when we don’t see you for awhile, we miss you, and one of our friendly fitness counselors will give you a call to see how we can get you back on track.
